Indian summer

Oh the joy of the last taste of summer in the early fall. Depending on time of the day, it's a bit all over the place, temperature wise yet the constant is that beautiful sunny weather. No requirement of full layering yet, a light knit or jacket is enough to keep the cool away and enjoy this respite.

To keep the summer alive, I've been alternating and mixing:

- light, soft colors - lots of grey, white, beige

- the full return of the black,

- but with sandals - the last hurrah for my favorite summer shoes,

- typical fall touches like a pop of red or plaid.

Here are a few examples of what I wore these past days, during the week-end - that's when I have the time to shoot outfits...

Last sunday I was wearing / dimanche dernier, je portais:
cashmere sweater/ pull en cachemire, pants/pantalon: Zara - scarf/écharpe: Isabel Marant "Ghazo" / sneakers/tennis: Bensimon - bag /sac: Céline

Last Friday, I wore / Vendredi dernier, je portais :
cardigan, shirt/chemise: H&M - jeans: Uniqlo - shoes/chaussures: Birkenstock "Madrid" - bag/sac: Céline

And this Saturday, I was wearing / Ce samedi je portais:
Sweater / pull : H&M - jeans : Uniqlo - bag/sac: Céline - shoes /chaussures: Dries van Noten

It was fun while this indian summer lasted. Next outfit post should be definitely set in full fall mode!

  1. Thanks, I liked that color mix too! Kind of a very classic match that will be repeated, since this season I want to lighten up a bit and inject some color... Easier said than done.
Nope, no new bag! It's the same old, same old ;))
I hear you, September has been hotter/sunnier than August which was a welcome suprise! It would have been way too depressing to go from an awful summer straight to fall... But I heard about the heatwave you're having, that's extreme! Hope it cools down.

  2. I can't buy any more sweaters since my weather isn't really for knits, but I sure can admire that cream v-neck. It looks like a portable blanket! How comfy.

    1. Hey well, cosy knits are in my opinion one of the only benefit (with food) of the whole bad weather ahead! ;))

  3. The zara trousers in the first picture look so good! A cut I always wished I would pull off but can't.

    1. Yeah, that's a weird cut. I like them but just like with harem/palazzo etc pants, you have to be set aside the body flattering factor! Haha!

    1. Thanks Miss Sophie! I also try to make the best of this season, which offers so much style options, it's certainly less monotonous than winter wear.

  6. Hi Jeanne! Thanks so much for stopping by and sorry I've not replied earlier. The dye I used is dylon machine dye here is the link to the one I used http://www.dylon.co.uk/products/dyes/wash-dye/velvet-black-3/#.VD-70vldWSo
I dyed 4 items are they still look good so I do recommend it, just rinse your machine a couple of times after dyeing. Love your blog too, your outfit pictures are really nice-those Dries Van Noten sandals are gorgeous! xx
