C'est midi cet été

Even if right now I'm living in various forms of pants, I'm optimistic enough to envision a day, not too far away when bare legs and feet will be a possibility without being soaked wet at one point or another of the day and catching yet another cold. 

I've never been one to really pay attention to the hemlines of dresses and skirts. I did the mini, maxi and the inbetween without a flinch but at the moment, I just can't see myself in short clothes this summer. 

As a matter of fact, I've put away almost all skirts and dresses, not that I had many really, whose hemlines qualify for the fingers along body rule (NB: standing up straight, hands against sides, a few centimers bellow where fingertips reach defines my comfort zone length for a mini skirt/short/dress) in favor of the ones with hemlines grazing the knee or even longer. 

Yes I'm bored of (putting) thighs on display and I'm turning all ladylike. Ok, that's a bit of a stretch because I'm not turning all Mad Men/Talented Mr Ripley props on you. Let's just say a little more grown-up tinted with a 90's minimalist casual trait.

Bellow a little inspiration on how I plan to wear the midi skirt with my 2 picks:

1) Muji full pleated skirt

Bonus, me fooling around in the changing room trying on the COS skirt. I intend to wear it very much like Ashley Olsen with flat sandals or with wedges, for a retro/pinpup-y vibe.

Même si en ce moment, je vis en pantalon, je suis assez optimiste pour envisager un jour, pas trop éloigné où, mettre ses jambes et pieds à nu sera une possibilité sans qu'à un moment ou l'autre de la journée, ils ne soient complètement trempés.

Je n'ai jamais vraiment fait attention aux longueurs des robes et des jupes et j'ai tout porté du mini au maxi en passant par diverses longueurs intermédiaires sans aucune hésitation mais là, je ne me vois pas du tout dans des vêtements courts cet été. 

En fait, j'ai mis de côté presque tous mes vêtements courts (j'en ai pas tant que ça en définitive) au profit de ceux frôlant le genou et plus. 

Oui, je suis un peu soûle de (montrer) de la cuisse et je deviens une dame. Ok c'est un peu exagéré, je n'ai pas l'intention de me transformer en figurante de Mad Men. Disons que j'ai envie d'une silhouette plus mûre teintée d'un trait de minimalisme 90's.

Ci-dessus des idées d'association pour les 2 modèles de jupe que j'ai choisis: Une jupe plissée de Muji et une droite fendue de chez COS.
