Rain fall(s)

It's officially the start of those long string of rainy/gloomy days. We had a break on the aptly named sunday but since then more or less rain falls.

This is bellow what I wore last saturday: being in partial denial, I wore my Marant Bator coat over a t-shirt and skinny jeans but instead of putting on a sensible pair of boots or sneakers, I went for the classic common Parisian look with ballet flats which was not a good idea. Since then, I got my first case of sore throat and sneeze.

Welcome fall!

  1. absolutely lovely! That coat just keeps working, doesn't it? I've been caught out in the cold wearing ballet flats as well, not fun. Enjoy the transitional weather!

    1. Thanks a lot! When I brought the coat back from the dry cleaner a few days ago I simply fell back in love with it. Suddenly, I couldn't wait to wear it!

  2. Oh poor you. You look lovely even if you're wet and cold. Since September it's been boots all the way unless it's dry when the occasional pump flats have come out .... but I really hate being cold so I felt your pain. Love the look - will need to steal the ins pro.

    1. Oh I'm okay. I'm just blending in, as almost everyone around is sniffing, sneezing, etc. You get the picture! :))
It's also a good excuse to get new shoes, you know, more suitable for the weather... Hehe!

  4. Great look! May I ask you, how are the quality of the Lanvin flats and how comfortable are they? My ballet flats are completely worn out, and I'm thinking of investing in these.

    1. Thanks!
I've had these shoes for more than 5 years now and considering the amount of use they got so far, as I wear them almost all year round, they hold up pretty good. In all this time, I had to renew the outersole once other than that no issues and they're really comfortable.

    1. I might have to order that emergen-C drug. Just when I thought I was done, the coughing fits and headache are back! Uh!
