Tenue du jour: workwear

Ever since undertaking major renovation work in my bedroom, I've been basically living for the past weeks in my living room, "essential" clothes piled on a single rack. It's the perfect excuse to repeat the same uniform looks day after day. Also as a result, outfits pictures sessions have been limited so sorry for the lack of updates.

Today for the first time in a long time, I wore something else than dark jeans/grey or black pants - one of which I'll certainly wear tomorrow (old habits die hard! hehe!).

So here I am, wearing one of my favorite fall/winter combination: skirt and brogues and to top it off a useful kaki parka - the hood was more than welcome to shield my head from the cold and drizzle when leaving work tonight, definitely wearing my beanie tomorrow.

I'm always into masculine/feminine contrasts especially for work as it allows me to keep a streamlined and comfortable look without being too sophisticated: The parka is casual but worn with a simple knit and skirt ensemble, the shoes are flat but the shape and patent finish add a polished touch... At least that's what I like to think!

Voilà, that's all folks!

I'm wearing: Gap parka / Cos sweater / Zara skirt / Isabel Marant Etoile scarf / Frateli Rossetti patent brogues / Céline tote bag

  1. Thanks! The parka is so old, was thinking of retiring it but I'd rather spend the money on furnitures! ;))

  2. Almost bought a similar skirt at Zara this weekend, but I'm trying to be good - need to buy xmas presents for other people besides myself first! I'd love a parka with toggle closures - Paddington-bear style! - the best ones seem to be men's though :(

    1. Oh it must be the same skirt as I got mine a few days ago! I also have a "hard" time shopping for parkas, the ones made for women always have some superfluous details added... Except for the ones which of course will make me go bankrupt (like the Woolrich). Anyway, yes, it's time to think of others while secretly hoping for great xmas gift for myself as well! Haha!
