My last and first

Last 2015 outfit that I captured when running a last minute grocery errand for new year's eve.

Comfort was key for the last day of the year and before the long evening/night so I put on my loose elastic waistband pants. That long tweed coat is part of another -I couldn't resist buying it- Zara number. I've been wearing it a lot, it's so good!

coat and pants: Zara / sweater: Uniqlo / tshirt: Isabel Marant Etoile / sneakers: Eden shoes / Scarf: Dries van Noten /

And the first of 2016:

I could barely stand right, felt sleepy on that first day of 2016 so again it was a matter of getting dressed quickly to grab lunch with my mom yet I wanted a look that wasn't too somber to counteract the gloomy grayness and to mark my first steps outsides in that new year. So I figured that my camel scarf and printed brogues could add a little pizzazz to the whole outfit.

coat: Comptoir des Cotonniers / sweater & scarf: Acne Studio / jeans: Zara / Shoes: Dries van Noten / bag: Céline

By the way, I'm posting most of my looks on Instagram but don't know if you'd like me to post them on the blog as well. I felt like it was redundant but let me know what you think/prefer!

  1. You look comfortable and chic at the same time. I especially like the second outfit and the way your scarf contrasts the rest of the outfit.

    1. Thanks Jessica! Love that scarf so much, it's so simple and basic, it's hard to figure out how it manages to be that good! A shame it's so expensive or I would add the burgundy and the gray...

    2. I know, it's so good! I own the grey one myself (4 years now I think) and really wanted the black one as well. But it's so expensive so I went for the A.P.C. one which was on sale.

  2. I think it's really nice to get a little written context for what you're wearing. And you look great, btw!

  4. Great looks to end/start a year! I know it's probably double the work for you, but I do like seeing your outfits on your blog. It's hard to keep up with Instagram sometimes, I wish it had some sort of bookmarking feature so you can pick up where you left off instead of it always refreshing...

(BTW, JCrew had a sale and I snapped up the 'Melton Toggle Coat' for under $200, which I thought was a pretty good deal! I just remembered because you were discussing hooded toggle coats in a previous blog post ;)

    1. Thank you!! I know what you mean, it's hard to follow up with my feed especially when off IG, even for a day.

Sales have still not started in France - it's this wednesday - but thanks for reminding me of the J. Crew duffle coat. I really like it but looks like it's going to be hard since if it's any indication, there are only very small sizes available on their eshop... How's the fit? Did you pick your regular size?
