A week-end apart

Here are a few week-end outfits shots from earlier in the month that sum up what I like wearing right now when off duty.

So with spring playing hide and seek, casual outfits revolve around:
  • pants : skinny jeans or my work tailored pants when I want to up the game. I'm just not feeling dresses and skirts at the moment.
  • Since it's a bit too cold still for ballet flats, my footwear of choice is either sneakers (from slip ons to everyone-has-them-in Paris Stan Smith) or Marant suede boots for which I've a new found appreciation and as it's been dry on week-ends, I've been wearing them quite often.
  • I'm injecting a lot of beige / camel /off white whether it's knitwear, outerwear, pants. I like how it instanstly soften and brighten any outfit.
  • a colorful/patterned scarf because after months of alternating between grey/black/camel, I appreciate more and more the power of a nice print or of an eye popping tint.

I was wearing:
Gap parka / Isabel Marant pour H&M scarf/ H&M sweater / Uniqlo jeans / Isabel Marant boots

I was wearing:
Filippa K coat / APC sweater / COS jeans / Celine bag/ Eden sneakers

    1. How kind of you! That change of season is so invigorating right? I can't wait to shed the heavier outerwear for real! BTW I really liked your own stylish posts on TFS 4-5 piece French thread. :))

  2. Love both outfits, and that's a great scarf! Looks like you need to upgrade to the larger Trio - the bag looks stuffed ;) Dressing is a bit awkward here right now, it's cold in the mornings and warms up by midday so it's a lot of layering, and sometimes there's a 20 degree temp. difference from one day to the next so I have to stare at my closet a bit longer out of confusion when I get dressed in the morning...

    1. Thanks Koko! Good eye on the Trio, haha! Somehow though the larger one doesn't appeal to me at all.
Same double season clothes cohabitation for me as well because of that rollercoaster weather, it's indeed harder on some days to get a functional and decent outfit.

  3. My side of the world is just more and more humidity and heat! I've become dependent on my sleeveless shirts to see me through - long sleeved shirts are too much on some days.

I agree with the love for the smaller Trio, the proportions are much nicer! It's like the Mansur Gavriel bucket bags - a larger one would be more practical for me but the smaller one is much more pleasing to my eye.

    1. I feel for you, extreme heat is so uncomfortable to manage when dressing especially as you're obliged to look professional.
So... the MG is on your mind then...I really like it too, the only minor factor holding me back is the lack of secure closing. Anyway, it sells out so fast - like when I was crushing hard on the Trio (weird coincidence ?)- that I don't think I could get ahold of one.
